Julia works with clients as a nonprofit consultant, with projects in New York and Philadelphia. She is currently the Executive Director for JACK Music Inc., an internationally acclaimed contemporary string quartet. As the leader of JACK’s nonprofit, Julia oversees everything from recording sessions and film shoots to international tours and a self-produced NYC concert series. She also produces JACK Studio, which supports composers through commissions, workshops, and recording projects, and which receives nearly 500 applications annually from around the world.
Prior to her work with JACK, Julia served as the Development Director for Sō Percussion, a Brooklyn-based new music ensemble, where she focused on Board cultivation and individual giving strategy. Other recent clients include PlayPenn, a new play development organization; BalletX, a contemporary ballet company specializing in world premieres; Emma’s Torch, which empowers refugees through culinary education; and Directors Gathering, a service organization for theater directors. She has held positions in development and marketing at The Wilma Theater, Williamstown Theatre Festival, and the American Repertory Theater.
